pLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BOOK!

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN PAPERWORK agreeing to ALL TERMS
STATED BELOW BEFORE becoming a client of highbrow studios


 


you are not a candidate for permanent makeup if you are...

  • Pursuing perfection, perfect symmetry and/or any other non-attainable goals.

  • Expecting PERFECT results that require no maintenance. PMU is a "LOW MAINTENANCE" service, NOT A "NO-MAINTENANCE" SERVICE!

  • Pregnant and / or Nursing

  • Under the age of 18

  • Diabetic

  • Currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment or have within the last 12 months.

  • Immunity Deficient or are any taking immunosuppressive medications.

  • Have an active infection anywhere in the body.

  • Are anticipating any surgical procedure within 4 weeks ( before/after ) your PMU procedure.

  • Taking blood-thinning medication ( to include a daily aspirin regimen )

  • Have historically been non-compliant with aftercare instructions. 

  • Regularly suntan or use artificial tanning beds.

  • Currently taking any narcotic painkillers.

  • Currently taking fish oil(s).

  • Epileptic

  • Have a history of Hypertrophic Scarring/Keloids

  • Have a history of Heart Related Injuries or Diseases

  • Are currently medicated for High/Low Blood Pressure

  • Are an Organ Transplant Recipient

  • Are an Artificial Joint recipient.

  • Have Psoriasis/Eczema in areas to be treated

  • Have used Accutane in the Past Year

  • Have had laser resurfacing in areas to be treated within 12 months prior to appt.

  • Are at high risk of infections and are required to pre-medicate with antibiotics for dental work, etc.

  • Have been diagnosed with Trichotillomania Nervosa or any other compulsive skin/hair picking disorder.

  • Are HIV+ and/or AIDS+

  • Have hooded eyelids (lash line and eyeliner specific)

*** Please note, I, Sam Muggelberg, am not a physician and have set the above listed contraindications after the recomended guidelines made available to me by the Ocean County, NJ Board of Health.  With that being said, MOST of these scenarios can be bypassed with a note of clearance from your physician.  Contact me for more information or to discuss further :)

a waiting period is required before scheduling your permanent makeup apptOINTMENT if...
 

 

All Procedures

  • You have used Botox, Disport, etc.: 2 Weeks

    • If you are not happy with your Botox, etc., please wait for the results to wear off before scheduling your PMU procedure.

  • You have used Fillers (i.e. Juvaderm, Silk, Voluma, Sculptra, etc.): 2 Weeks

  • You have used Accutane (Full Dose): 1 Year 

  • You have Sun Burned Skin: 2 Weeks 

  • You use Retinols, Glycolic Acid, (AHA) Vitamin C Peels: 4 Weeks  

  • You've received the Shingles Vaccine: 1 Month 

  • You've had Laser Removal of old PMU: 8 Weeks AT LEAST (to allow skin to heal)

Lips​

  • You have a history of Fever Blisters: Medical Clearance and Pre-Medication

  • ​

Brows / All Procedures

  • You have a history of Shingles: Medical Clearance and Pre-Medication, Even with Immunization

  • You have history of Seizures: Medical Clearance

Eyeliner

  • You have a history of Eye Diseases (i.e. Glaucoma or Graves’ Disease): Medical Clearance

  • You have had Blepharitis-correcting surgery : Medical Clearance

​
